The course provides the basic knowledge for the structural design of steel structures and the dimensioning of members and frameworks in steel structures. This includes getting to know application areas and typical components and constructions in steel buildings and industrial structures and deepening the material-mechanical fundamentals of steel structures: In addition, the knowledge of the beam theory is expanded and cross-sectional properties, elastic and plastic stress verifications as well as welded and bolted connections are examined in more detail. Finally, the fundamentals of stability theory are presented.

Sessions

Mondays from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. (SuSe). This course starts on 15.04.2024.
