Megastructures made of high-performance materials, service life predictions of infrastructures and modeling of the fire behavior of complex structures represent main areas of application of our research. Our research interests lie in the structural mechanical description, numerical simulation and experimental verification of the non-linear load-bearing, deformation and damage behavior of steel and composite structures including multi-physical structures and multiscale coupling effects.
